The support groups at Florida Cancer Affiliates’ New Port Richey center are conducted by a licensed clinical social worker. The biweekly sessions cover a variety of topics such as the use of makeup, pain control, body image, and how to communicate with others about their condition. Participants will be provided with useful educational material about cancer and cancer treatment. Survivors will be given the opportunity to raise concerns about their condition and learn what others are feeling and what they experienced. Best of all they will learn about the joy of new friendships and learn that they are not alone.
