Rain Barrel Workshop on October 19th at Spring Hill Library

Residents are invited to attend a Rain Barrel workshop on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 10:30. The Workshop will be held at the Spring Hill Branch Library – 9220 Spring Hill Dr. Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program Coordinator Lilly Browning will present the Rain Barrel Workshop
To attend the Rain Barrel Workshop you must pre-register and send $55 to HCUD – 15635 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34613 by November 14th. Write “Rain Barrel Workshop November 16th” on the envelope. Hernando County Utilities Customers who attend the workshop and install a rain barrel at their home will receive at one-time credit on their water bill for $25. Please bring a vehicle that can accommodate a 50 gallon barrel.  Please call 352-540-6230 for more information.

Residents are invited to attend a free class, “Scratching the Surface – How to Reduce the Mosquito Population in Your Landscape” on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Chinsegut Conservation Center, 23212 Lake Lindsey Road, Brooksville, at 10:00am. The class will be presented by Hernando County Mosquito Control. Mosquitoes are more than a nuisance, they can be a public health problem. Learn ways to reduce your likelihood of breeding more of those pesky critters.
