3rd Annual Touch a Truck

(BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA) – What child wouldn’t love to climb aboard a fire truck, a garbage truck, an All-Terrain Vehicle, or a Forestry Service Brush Engine?  The Hernando County Public Library’s 3rd Annual Touch a Truck provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types, including emergency, transportation, and delivery in a safe environment while accompanying personnel teach them about the equipment and how these machines help our community. Children of all ages can climb, touch, explore, and learn about their favorite vehicles during this free event!

The first 200 children receive hard hats and coloring books. Additionally, the first 50 children receive a race car or school bus building kit. Kids can also enjoy making crafts and listening to stories. Food & drink will be available for purchase. This event is free and does not require registration. Donations of new or gently used children’s books to the Friends of the Library of Hernando County are encouraged.

The 3rd Annual Hernando County Public Library Touch a Truck will take place on Saturday, November 19 from 11 am-2pm at the East Hernando Branch Library, located at 6457 Windmere Road, Brooksville 34602.
