The Heart Institute at Oak Hill Hospital Holds Seventh Annual Heart Failure Symposium

Spring Hill, Florida (January 18, 2017) – Once again the Heart Institute at Oak Hill Hospital will present its very popular Heart Failure Symposium. The symposium will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane, Brooksville, FL 34609. This year’s symposium is entitled “Living With Heart Failure” and will feature a panel of Oak Hill Hospital healthcare specialists:

·         Mowaffak Atfeh, MD, Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Internal Medicine

·         Lisa Cierpka, RN, BSN, CCM (Certified Case Manager) – Care Assure Patient Care Navigator

·         Rebecca Voda, RN, BSN, CHFN (Certified Heart Failure Nurse) – Care Assure Nurse Navigator

·         Rachelle Tirelli, RN, ACE (American Council on Exercise) – Personal trainer

This presentation is for those who are living with heart failure or who are at a high risk of having heart failure. Our panel of healthcare specialists includes a board certified cardiologist, two Care Assure Nurse Navigators, and a registered nurse/personal trainer,  who are all on staff at Oak Hill Hospital.

In recognition of February as National Heart Failure Awareness Month, the Heart Institute celebrates the lives of those living with heart failure and their caregivers. This symposium provides education on how to manage and live well with this life-long disease.
