The class will be presented by Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program Coordinator, Lilly Browning. Learn how to bring a flutter of life to your landscape! Learn about plants and techniques which will invite our winged friends to stop by for a visit! Free class. No registration necessary.

Free Class – Spring Flowers for Central Florida
 
Residents are invited to attend a free class, “Spring Flowers for Central Florida” on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Spring Hill Branch Library – 9220 Spring Hill Dr. at 10:30am. The class will be presented by Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program Coordinator, Lilly Browning. Learn which annuals and perennials put on a spectacular show this time of year. Free Class. Free Class – Wild Edibles
 
Residents are invited to attend a free class, “Wild Edibles” on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Chinsegut Conservation Center, 23212 Lake Lindsey Road, Brooksville, at 10:00am. The class will be presented by Native Plant Society Member Rita Grant. Back by popular demand! Join Rita Grant as she teaches us about edible plants that grow in the wild.  Free class. No registration necessary.
 
Rain Barrel Workshop on March 29

Residents are invited to attend a Rain Barrel workshop on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10:30. The Workshop will be held at the Hernando County Utilities Building (Former Tampa Bay Times Building) 15365 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville 34613. Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program Coordinator Lilly Browning will present the Rain Barrel Workshop.
To attend the Rain Barrel Workshop you must pre-register and send $55 to HCUD – 15635 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34613. Write “Rain Barrel Workshop March 29” on the envelope. Hernando County Utilities Customers who attend the workshop and install a rain barrel at their home will receive at one-time credit on their water bill for $25. Please bring a vehicle that can accommodate a 50 gallon barrel.  Please call 352-540-6230 for more information.
